Понимание структурно-смысловых связей в тексте

Hollywood

At the beginning of the 20th century, a city developed at the place A _______. It was Los Angeles. At the same time people were getting acquainted with a new industry — the cinema, B ________.

American cinema industry got its beginning in New York. However, by 1910 movie-makers decided to move to Los Angeles. There were some reasons. First of all, everything, C _______ , was too expensive in New York. Worse than that, it was difficult to make movies in winter, D ________ .

The Los Angeles region was full of advantages. In California, it was possible to make films all year round. Besides, everything was much cheaper. Nowadays Hollywood is the world’s largest filmmaking industry. Thousands of movies are made there every year. Once Hollywood could make films just for America. Today it has to make them for the whole world. The suburb of Los Angeles has become the headquarters of a global dream-machine.
