Task 1. You are going to read the text aloud. You have 1.5 minutes to read the text silently, and then be ready to read it aloud. Remember that you will not have more than 2 minutes for reading aloud.

In the age of space exploration, everyone knows the words like rocket, satellite and spacecraft. But do you know what a space shuttle is? The shuttle is just a spacecraft but it is designed to be reusable. It means the shuttle goes to space, then returns to the Earth, and then can be launched again. It is used to deliver satellites, equipment, and people to the orbit. The first shuttle was launched in 1981. On the Earth the shuttle weighs about 2,000 tons as it has a giant fuel supply. However, the fuel is burned during the first few minutes of the flight. Then the shuttle gets into the orbit to contact the space station or let out the satellite.
