Black holes are regions of spacetime with such intense gravity that nothing, not even light, can escape their pull. They form when massive stars collapse at the end of their life cycle. The immense gravitational force crushes the star's matter into an incredibly dense point called a singularity. Around the singularity lies the event horizon, the point of no return. Anything crossing this boundary is drawn into the black hole. While they might seem destructive, black holes play a significant role in galactic evolution. They influence the formation of stars and galaxies, acting as powerful gravitational anchors. Studying black holes helps us understand the fundamental laws of physics and the universe's structure.
